Atlantic Coast Escape

Trip Overview

Marrakech and the coast, back to back, this trip is built for anyone who wants a taste of both without picking one over the other. Start in the city, markets, the Medina, Jemaa el-Fna at night, then head out to Essaouira, where the pace drops and the ocean air takes over. Four days, one trip, two completely different sides of Morocco.

Itinerary

Land in Marrakech, where our driver will be waiting with a sign for your name or group. After checking in, settle in with dinner somewhere good in the city, then spend the evening wandering the Medina and Jemaa el-Fna if you’ve got the energy for it.

After breakfast, the drive to Essaouira cuts through argan forests and open countryside, a couple of hours and a completely different world by the time you arrive. Spend the afternoon in the medina’s blue and white streets, down by the old port, and lunch somewhere with a sea view.

A full day to fill however you want. Surf, horseback ride along the water, or take an ATV out, or slow it down with the beach, a local café, or the artisan shops in town. Essaouira works either way.

After breakfast, head back to Marrakech. Depending on your flight, that means either a straight shot to the airport, or one last stop on a rooftop café for mint tea and a final look at Jemaa el-Fna before you go.

From cozy hotels, traditional kasbahs, and charming riads to stargazing desert camps, Go to Sahara provides a variety of lodging options to suit your needs. We have options that fit your budget, whether it’s luxury, mid-range, or affordable. Simply inform us of your preferences, and we’ll handle the rest to make sure you have the greatest stay possible.

We can arrange cooking classes/ Hammam & SPA  / Hot air balloon / ATV Quads / Dune buggies and any additional activiy available in any destination upon request.

Any size group works. If there are more than 20 of you, just book in advance, since all our trips run private.

Just like all the coast trips. Comfortable, casual clothes, a swimsuit, and something for cooler evenings.

This coast works well most of the year. Summer is warm without the intense heat you’d get inland, and winter stays mild, though it can get breezy, especially in Essaouira. Spring and fall are the sweet spot if you want the calmest weather. For surfing, it’s flat in summer, but we’ll drive you to nearby spots to find waves.

We actually own our own transportation company, so it’s not some random driver you’ve never met. Small groups ride in a Toyota Prado, bigger groups get a Mercedes Vito van or Sprinter minibus, and for groups over 20 we bring in a full-size bus. Everything is clean, comfortable, and driven by drivers we know and trust.

Yes, we can include or exclude activities to suit what you and  your group like.

Yes, both Taghazout and Essaouira are considered very safe towns, used to hosting travelers and student groups. Our team is with you throughout the trip.

It’s a completely different side of the country from Marrakech or the desert, surf towns, ocean air, and a slower pace. If you have the time, combining it with Marrakech or the desert is the best way to see more of what Morocco offers.

Yes, it can run longer or shorter, and since this trip already covers Marrakech and the coast, it pairs especially well with our desert trips if your group wants the full Morocco experience.”
