This popular 4‑day, 3‑night Sahara journey starts and ends in Marrakech, crafted especially for students who crave an amazing desert experience. Stay in carefully selected hotels, kasbahs, and riads—with one night under the stars in a traditional Berber camp—while qualified multilingual guides lead you through the dunes. Travel in comfort aboard air‑conditioned 4WD vehicles, minibuses, or motor‑coaches.
Enjoy a slower, relaxed pace with less time in the car and more time to explore each site, stretch your legs, and soak up every moment. Ride camels over towering Erg Chebbi dunes, sandboard down sun‑warmed slopes, and unwind around campfires under endless starry skies—all at a student‑friendly pace.

Itinerary

Upon landing at Marrakech Menara Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our team holding a sign with your name and group. You’ll then be transferred to your chosen riad or hotel. (Optional: spend the rest of the day exploring Jemaa el‑Fna, have dinner at one of the open‑air stalls or nearby restaurants, and soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere.) Return to your accommodation when you’re ready to rest and prepare for tomorrow’s desert journey.

You will be picked up from your Hotel / Riad in Marrakech, and departure to Ait Ben Haddou over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), visit the kasbahs and lunch in one of the restaurants in the foothills of the kasbahs. Afterwards we continue to Skoura where we will visit the Kasbah of Amredil, a beautiful Kasbah situated in the palm groves “Route of one thousand Kasbahs”. After that heading to Boulmane du Dades Dinner and overnight in Kasbah hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive to Tineghir then to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous views of Canyons. Take a short walk around the Palm Plantations and enjoy the panoramic views of Todra River. Later on, we drive toward Tinjedad for a lunch meal on a local restaurant. Later you will pass by several villages such us Touroug (Berber village) and El-Jarf before reaching Erfoud. You will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are also called Merzouga Dunes. Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp or an overnight in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.

Early wake up to climb the dune & see the beautiful sunrise, walk down and ride the camels back to the hotel, After breakfast, we will set off for Marrakech, passing through the spectacular ounila valley to get to telouet one of the famous kasbahs in Morocco. After lunch, we will cross the High Atlas mountains, and we will then drop you off at airport, Safe travels and happy memories.

We intentionally exclude dinners in urban areas or big cities for two main reasons. Firstly, dining at Riads or hotels in city settings tends to be relatively expensive. Secondly, the presence of a variety of restaurant options in cities allows our clients to choose according to their budget and preferences.

Deserts in Morocco are scorching in summer, with temperatures reaching 50°C (122°F) in July and August. Winters, however, bring freezing nights. Be prepared: bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a wide hat, breathable clothing, insect repellent, and warm layers for winter.

 

At the dunes, you’ll meet your camel caravan. After a short intro and scarf assistance, you’ll enjoy a ride to a scenic sunset spot and onward to camp. If needed, camps are also accessible via 4×4. Return options include camels or 4×4 vehicles.

 

No need to carry bags during the camel ride. Dedicated 4×4 vehicles transfer your luggage to the camp. We recommend packing only essentials for the night and leaving the rest with your driver.

 

Yes! All rooms and tents are private, with options for twin, triple, or double setups. Every room or tent includes a private bathroom with hot water.

 

 

Drivers share local insights while navigating, but licensed tour guides provide detailed cultural and historical context in major cities. Full-time guides can be arranged for the entire trip upon request (additional fee applies).

 

ATMs are widely available in cities and accept most international cards. Credit cards are accepted in many hotels and restaurants, but carry cash for smaller towns, taxis, and tips.

 

Tap water isn’t recommended due to its mineral content and potential microbes. Stick to bottled water—brands like Sidi Ali and Ain Saiss are widely available and affordable.
